Short version: we use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We use one privacy-friendly analytics cookie (Plausible) on the marketing site to count visits. No advertising cookies. No third-party trackers.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| argus.session | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in. Without it, you'd have to re-enter your password on every page load. Set only after you sign in. | Rolling, expires after 14 days of inactivity |
| argus.csrf | Strictly necessary | Anti-forgery token. Prevents malicious sites from making requests to Argus on your behalf. | Session |
| argus.theme | Preference | Remembers whether you've chosen light or dark theme. | 1 year |
| argus.last_view | Preference | Remembers your last-visited dashboard tab so you land back where you left off. | 30 days |
| _pk_id / _pk_ses | Analytics (first-party) | Plausible Analytics — counts unique visits to the marketing site (argus.app). No personal data, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting. Only set on argus.app, not inside the product. | 30 minutes |
No advertising cookies. No remarketing pixels. No Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, or Twitter trackers. No Google Analytics. No session-recording tools. No fingerprinting. No third-party trackers of any kind. We've kept the list above intentionally short.
Strictly-necessary cookies can't be turned off — without them, the product doesn't work. You can disable preference cookies in your account settings. You can disable the Plausible analytics cookie via your browser's "Do Not Track" setting (which we honor) or by blocking the script in your privacy extension.
You can also clear all Argus cookies from your browser at any time. We won't try to fingerprint you or rebuild a profile from elsewhere.
If we add a new cookie, we'll update the table above and announce it via email. We'll never silently add a third-party tracker.
