You probably check reconciliations, AR aging, supplier coding, duplicates, and balance sheet sanity for every client. The problem isn't the work — it's that you only do it monthly, quarterly, or worse. Argus runs the same checks every night and tells you what changed.

Each check produces a green / yellow / red status with the underlying data attached. Toggle them per client. Add custom monitors for anything Argus doesn't ship out of the box.
Click any flagged check and Argus shows you the underlying transactions — with deep-links into QuickBooks. Add notes, assign to a teammate, mark resolved. The audit trail writes itself.
Multi-seat. Roles. Assignments. Notes that @-mention. The things you'd build yourself if you had six months and a frontend team.
Assign a Bookkeeper and an Accountant to every client. Filter the dashboard by who owns what. Track resolution time.
Comment on any flagged row. Attach screenshots. Tag a teammate. The conversation lives next to the transaction, not in Slack.
Capture the quirks of every client — recurring journal entries, owner draws, oddball coding rules — and run them as repeatable checklists.
Every issue, every resolution, every comment timestamped and signed. Year-end review takes minutes, not weeks.
Pull any QBO report straight into a workbook. Note rows, attach issues, flag for review. Stays in sync.
Partner reviews on autopilot — total clients, average severity, weekly deltas, and bookkeeper workload at a glance.
"We grew from 80 to 220 clients in 18 months without adding a single bookkeeper. The math only works because Argus does the noise-detection."
Simple per-client billing. Every plan includes all 11 checks, unlimited custom monitors, unlimited team seats, and the full Excel add-in. Annual billing saves 15%.
For solo bookkeepers and small practices growing into systems.
For established firms with shared workflows and multiple bookkeepers.
For multi-partner firms with shared workflows across many bookkeepers.
All plans bill in CAD or USD. QuickBooks Online only — Xero on the roadmap.
No. Argus is read-only. We connect via QuickBooks OAuth with read scopes only — there is no API path for us to write transactions, change classifications, or move money. We exist to surface, not to edit.
~3 minutes per client. Sign in to QuickBooks, click connect, choose which checks to enable. The first full run finishes within 90 seconds. We can also bulk-onboard if you have 50+ clients.
The checks pause. We never store transaction-level data we don't need to surface — and on revoke, the cached snapshots are purged within 30 days. The client retains full ownership of their books at all times.
Optional. You can invite the client into a read-only view of their own health checks (this is essentially the "For Business Owners" experience). Many firms use this as a value-add — clients see the work you're doing.
On the roadmap, targeted at Q3. Today Argus is QuickBooks Online only. If Xero is a hard requirement, talk to us — we may be able to scope a pilot.
